What is The Next Generation Partners Society?

The Next Generation Partners Society is a donor recognition society formed in 2007 to recognize and honor supporters who demonstrate their commitment to our mission through annual gifts of $1,000 or more.

How are unrestricted gifts used and why are they so important?

Unrestricted gifts are used to support FTE where the need is greatest. Additionally, gifts may be used to fund additional fellowships, provide resources for unique strategic opportunities, or to provide support to expand or enhance FTE programs such as Calling Congregations.

How do I make a gift?

Can I designate my gift to a specific area?

Yes, in addition to unrestricted gifts, FTE alumni and friends can choose to designate their gift to support a Doctoral Fellowship, Ministry Fellowship, Undergraduate Fellowship or to provide matching funds for Congregational Fellowships.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes, The Fund for Theological Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. Gifts are deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Can I give an anonymous gift?

Yes, just let us know if you wish to remain anonymous.

Why does FTE need my support?

In 2010 The Fund for Theological Education received nearly four times more applications for fellowships than it could fund. If you believe that leaders for the church and world—today and tomorrow—should be well-educated and reflect the diversity of the society they serve, FTE needs your support. Your gift helps ensure a renewing stream of talented young leaders to sustain the Christian church and to support the church's mission in the world of serving the common good. 

What about smaller gifts? I can't afford much, but I want to make a difference.

Every gift does make a difference and has a direct impact. When a donation is combined with hundreds or even thousands of other "small" gifts, FTE is able to expand its fellowship funding or provide resources for other critical, ongoing needs.

Where does the money go?

To support Undergraduate, Congregational, Ministry and Doctoral Fellowships, to convene conferences and workshops which bring people from many Christian denominations together for learning and sharing of vocation care practices, and for program enhancements.

Will my company match my gift?

Possibly! Hundreds of companies will match a gift by an employee. This can double or even triple your gift to FTE. Contact your human resources office for details.

Will FTE give my name or address to any other organization?

No, your records are confidential.

How do I get my named removed from your calling or mailing list?

Just call or e-mail the Office of the President. Let us know which list you would like to be removed from and what type of information you would still like to receive and we will update our records to keep you from receiving calls and mail that are not of interest to you.
